About Me
Hi All, I'm Ari Pikivirta and keep this page up and running because
I have done some programming in the past (which I probably never will
get finished). Started playing with these on back in middle of 2004
when I first had all Home Series freeware products put together in
one nice package - Separated later. Web pages were running from that
day on at my home (as they still are). Now while I've been writing
applications for quite long now, there is now also lots of other
utility and other applications available free to use on this page.
I live with my wife and four kids on a nice area on southern part
of Finland, in a village named Tervakoski. Really nice village
compared to most, and definetely nice place to grow the kids. This is
not only my opinion, everybody will say more or less the same.
If trying to describe myself more, hmm.. It's difficult. People that
do know me better will ofcourse disagree with all here, but that's also
normal, i think. Here's my best shot for that:
Really, if there is possibility of human to understand other human,
I might not be the one. If speaking of machines, things that are
possible to program with c, pascal, assembler or any enough low level
language - I'll get along. As a hobby, beside the kids and programming,
there is running. 2009 I did finish my first ultra long race of 100km.
Only goal was to get the whole distance done, and I did just that. Anyway,
now and in future too, main race distance will be "only" the marathon.
Any shorter distance is for younger people that can run those faster races.
Nice enough we finally got our selves a local running club here called
"Tervassa Juoksijat"!
